Brick Township, NJ

Michael Jay Busichio, 70, of Brick, New Jersey, passed away on February 14, 2026 surrounded by his family. Born on February 6, 1956, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Michael built a life rooted in hard work, devotion to family, and the simple joys of doing what he loved.

Before dedicating many years of his career to Bristol Myers Squibb, Michael worked in motorcycle sales with Kawasaki, combining his love for engines and performance with his natural ability to connect with people. One of his proud and memorable moments was having the honor of selling a motorcycle to legendary race car driver Mario Andretti — a story he carried with pride.

Throughout his life, no matter what was thrown at him or what unexpected turns and challenges he faced, Michael remained positive and resilient. He was a fighter in every sense of the word — someone who never backed down, who pushed forward when the odds were against him, and who consistently found a way to rise above. His strength and determination were quiet but powerful, inspiring those around him.

Above all, Michael was a proud and devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Jacqueline Rae Busichio and Michael Ryan Busichio; his daughter-in-law, Rachael Busichio; ex-wife Cheryl Ann Busichio and his beloved granddaughter, Mia Ryann Busichio, who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by members of the family, Penney Busichio, Marsha Busichio and many more who remained an important part of his life.

Michael had a lifelong passion for cars and boats. Whether he was out on the water boating, working under the hood of a car, building something with his hands, or tackling a new project around the house, he was happiest when he was creating, fixing, or improving something. He had a deep love for carpentry. He was the go-to person whenever someone needed help — the man you called when something broke, when you didn’t know how to fix it, or when you just needed steady hands and practical advice.

He will be remembered for his reliability, his mechanical mind, and the powerful way he showed his love — by showing up, lending a hand, and making sure things were taken care of. Some of his most cherished moments were spent playing with his granddaughter, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Michael’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished and in the countless projects he completed with care and pride. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
