Eatontown, NJ

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Elizabeth Lang, age 72, who departed this life surrounded by her loving family and dear friends at her Eatontown, New Jersey home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Mary's vibrant journey began on October 9, 1953, in Red Bank, New Jersey, where she was born and raised. In 1995, she relocated her family to Tinton Falls, where she continued to grow and build lasting community ties. Demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning, Mary proudly earned her degree from Brookdale College in 2003, a testament to her dedication and perseverance.

Known for her infectious humor and quick wit, Mary brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her heart's greatest treasures were her beloved children, Matthew Sean and Kimberly, and she took immense pride in her role as "Gaga" to her cherished granddaughter, Alexis. Mary's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of deep family devotion, the quiet satisfaction of daily gardening, and invigorating neighborhood strolls. A fiercely loyal fan, she passionately supported the New York Giants. Beyond her immediate family, Mary was affectionately known as a surrogate mother to countless children in her neighborhood, offering warmth, guidance, and a safe haven to all.

Her professional career was marked by diverse contributions, including positions at System 3000 in Tinton Falls and dedicated service to the federal government at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. However, it was her impactful tenure as a Corporate Training Instructor at Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey that truly ignited her passion. There, she found profound fulfillment in shaping careers and empowering individuals, leaving an indelible mark on her colleagues and the organization. After a distinguished career, Mary retired, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and mentorship.

Mary was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Joseph and Agnes Lang, and her dear siblings, James and Mark. She leaves an enduring legacy of love and cherished memories for her beautiful children, Matthew Sean Jetter of Long Branch, New Jersey, and Kimberly Jetter (Alex Brown) of Eatontown, New Jersey. She will also be deeply missed by her adored granddaughter, Alexis Brown, of Eatontown, New Jersey. Mary carried an everlasting affection for Larry and much love for the entire Jetter family.

Mary's memory will be held dear by her extended family, including Catherine, Patricia, Bridget, Matthew, Paul, and Joseph and many nieces and nephews along with lifelong friends all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her friends and family will forever cherish the warmth of her presence, the wisdom of her counsel, and the boundless love she shared so freely.

A celebration of Mary's remarkable life gathering will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Royal Banquet Hall 613 Hope Road, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 from 3-7 p.m.
