Mark S. Malley, 60, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. He was born in Key West, FL and raised in Kearny, NJ before moving to San Diego with his wife, Mary Ellen, in 1977 and ultimately settling in Stafford Township in 1982. He was headstrong, stubborn, and abrasive, but beyond his tough exterior he was big-hearted, honorable, and authentic. He was as cool as John Wayne, had a sharp wit and was always quick to brag about his children. He was one of a kind and to know him was to love and respect him.
Mark was predeceased by his sister Barbara and his father Thomas. Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen, daughter Brianna, son Jeremiah, daughter and son-in-law Jaclyn and Anthony Boffice, mother Bernice, brother Bruce and his wife La Rie, brother Stanley and his wife Mary, brother Brian and his wife Kim, brother Thomas, sister Diane, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11 am at St. Mary's Church located at 747 W. Bay Avenue, Barnegat Township, NJ 08005. Mark was heavily involved with the community, coaching football, baseball, and softball for nearly 15 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Mark's memory to Southern Youth Football & Cheer, P.O. Box 133, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Please make checks payable to SYF&C.
