Marilyn Ostrov

October 4, 1933 — November 29, 2025

Fair Haven, NJ

Marilyn Ostrov (nee Lowenberg), affectionately known as Ma, passed away on November 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters. Marilyn grew up in Red Bank until she and Harold, her husband of 70 years, moved to Fair Haven to raise their family.

Marilyn was an active member of Congregation B’nai Israel in Rumson and proudly served in the role of Sisterhood President. Ma’s love for reading led her to a career as a librarian in the Tinton Falls School District. Marilyn enjoyed shopping, playing mahjong with her “regulars” and soaking in the sun at the beach. Marilyn and Harold looked forward to their frequent adventures traveling by land and sea around the country and world.

Marilyn will be remembered and missed deeply by her daughters Ronni, Wendy and Nancy; her grandchildren Rae (Brian), Sandy (Alan), Jessica, Stacy (Kyle), Kelsey (Lee), Courtney (Daniel), Aaren (Megan) and Alli (Adam); and her nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at a later date. If you would like to offer a remembrance in memory of Marilyn, please make a donation to your favorite charity or Bridge of Books Foundation (Atlantic Highlands).
