Maria "Angel" Holland

Maria “Angel” Holland passed away suddenly on the evening of Tuesday, May 3rd at the age of 64. She was born on January 14, 1958 in central New Jersey to John and Dorothy Montefusco (Mundy), and was the youngest of four children. She graduated from Middletown High School and went on to attend Brookdale Community College. She graduated from Monmouth University with a degree in Special Education. She enjoyed writing, listening to music, painting and art, and taking long drives down the beach and through the countryside. Maria was a teacher at Long Branch Middle School for nearly 20 years. She adored teaching and helping children as much as she could. Maria will be remembered as a caring and loving mother, daughter, and sister who had a big heart and always went above and beyond to ensure those she loved were cared for. She leaves behind a daughter, Jennifer, two brothers, John and Dennis, as well as two nieces and many beloved friends and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Olivet Cemetery in Middletown, NJ.
