Margaret R. Kirsch passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family - her daughter, Maria Pedrotty, son-in-law, Eric Pedrotty, and two fabulous grand daughters Alexandra and Margaret Pedrotty.
Marge, as she was called, was born Margaret Klinga on February 17, 1930 and was raised with her parents and 7 siblings - Mary, Helen, Frank, Ann, Veronica, Elizabeth, and Daniel - in Jersey City, NJ. After she married the dashing and cerebral Andrew Kirsch in 1963, they made their home in Edison, NJ where they were happily and faithfully married until Andrew’s death in 2007. In 2017, she moved in with Maria, Eric, and the girls “down the shore” where they could all take care of each other until her death.
Margaret had an extraordinary ordinary life. She was a dedicated Catholic but where she truly shined was as an attentive student of her greatest teacher, Jesus Christ, expressing her faith, hope, and love for all. Marge was without vanity - she was not enticed by fancy baubles or brands - but always wore a friendly smile and had a kind word of encouragement for her companions. Marge was an unhesitating forgiver - no matter what the transgression, Marge could respond with love and mercy. Marge’s heart was always filled to the brim with compassion for her fellow humans and she was endlessly generous with her time, talent, and treasure - it was her greatest pleasure to serve her family and help another. Finally, she prayed for each and every one of us every day of her life.
A funeral service will be held on August 14th at 10 am at St. Helena Catholic Church, 930 Grove Ave, Edison, NJ 08820 followed by interment at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067
Marge will be missed by everyone who knew her as a sweet and kind lady and we aim to imitate her as we remember her.
