Madeline "Nan" (Riscinti) Tango, 91, passed away Thursday, March 27 at Manor by the Sea in Ocean Grove surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newark, NJ, she moved to Neptune City in 1958 and raised her family there. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1983 and her son Anthony in 2002. She was the last surviving sibling of 16 brothers and sisters. Madeline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Bruce Wescott, Neptune City; a daughter-in-law Jennifer Tango, Lanoka Harbor; 5 grandchildren, Cary Kapp, Anthony Tango, Amy Simon, Melissa Edwards, and Joseph Wescott; 9 great grandchildren, Briana Clark, Jena Kapp, Dominick and Vincent Simon, Matthew, Erinn, and Nathan Edwards, Anthony Wescott, and Madeline Tango; a dear friend for over 80 years, Millie Domorski; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her caring family at Manor by the Sea.
Nan helped out in the family owned business, Gables Cleaners until 2008. She was happiest in her kitchen cooking for family and friends. She was an avid movie star buff. Nan always had a story that bought a smile to everyone. She touched the lives of many and was lovingly called Nan by all. A memorial mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 5th at 11:00 am at The Church of the Ascension, 501 Brinley Avenue, Bradley Beach, NJ, 07720 Private interment will be held in St. Catharine's Cemetery, Wall Township.
