Lorreen Cottrell Franson 81, off Highlands, NJ passed away on April 23, 2024.
She was a life long resident of Highlands where her family owned a gas dock, lobster boats as well as Cottrell’s Lobsters. Highlands, where she would meet the love of her life at a young age. Robert (Bob)was stationed at “The Nike Base” up in the Hartshorne woods, One day with a bad flooding he carried her across the flooded Bay Ave to her home. Love at first site.
She loved living on the Shrewsbury River , Riding her horses, coaching softball teams, entertaining, singing and playing her mandolin, being at the beach, her family. She missed her husband tremendously.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Franson, her son Bobby, her parents Lloyd and Marion (Bess) Cottrell, her daughter in law Suzanne Franson and son in law Gregory Pearce.
She is survived by her son Lloyd Franson, Her Daughters Dawn Pearce and Bobbi Shine and son in law Michael Shine. Grandchildren, Anthony Franson, Kyyrstin Franson, KC Bucholz, Michael Shine & Garrett Shine. And a great grandson Noah and his parents Bobby and Felicia Horton. Also many cousins and friends.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service we are holding in her honor at the Navesink Hook & Ladder Firehouse 141 Monmouth Ave, Atlantic Highlands on June 1st 2024, from 12-3PM.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
