Kenneth Michael O'Brien

Kenneth (Ken) Michael OBrien, Sr., 72, formerly of Ocean Township, NJ, passed away on March 30, 2020, after a long struggle with Parkinsons Disease. He was born on October 4, 1947, in Northampton, MA, to John J. OBrien and Margaret (Peg) E. Banner, who preceded him in death. Ken graduated from Northampton (MA) HS and served in the Air Force from 1968-1972 at stations in Korea and the U.S. In 1977, he married Donna R. Bartz in Long Branch, NJ, and in 1985 they made their home in Ocean Township. He was known to some as "Calvin" at Calvin's Ice Cream in Ocean Township from 1992-1997 and always as a devoted father. He is survived by his son, Kenneth M. Obrien, Jr.; his daughter, Casey M. O'brien; and his granddaughter, Isabel. He joins his wife, Donna, who departed in 2012.
