Kenneth Andrew “Andy” Burt, 62, of Wall Township, New Jersey and Greenacres, Florida passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant battle with liver disease.
Andy was born June 7, 1960 to Kenneth C and Martha (Thackston) Burt in Saratoga Springs, New York and grew up on Lake Champlain. After graduating White Hall High School in New York, he served for 5 years in the United States Coast Guard. His first commission was to be the head grounds keeper on Governors Island, New York. A job he was well suited for since golf was his favorite past time. He was then stationed in Avon-by-the-Sea as a Coxswain making many ocean rescues in the shore communities. Andy then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Georgian Court College graduating in 1989. His career was in corporate accounting with Woolworth Corp and AT&T, and later worked for St. Johns Feed the Hungry of Newark.
Andy is predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, James Cook. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of 37 years; daughter Allison and husband James Monge; his grandsons Sean (15), Shane (15), and Scott (12) Monge; his brother Paul Rodney (Jo-Ann) Burt; his sister Lisa Cook; nieces Sarah, Amanda and nephew Calvin.
