Kathleen Kepich

Kathleen Kepich, 89, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 26, 1936, she was a lifelong resident of Carteret.

Kathleen devoted her life to her family and was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Kepich Jr., and her cherished daughter, Karen Kepich-Szymanski.

Kathleen is survived by her loving children, Michael Kepich III and his wife Diane, David Kepich and his wife Marie, and Mary Kepich-Amzler and her husband Gary. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Cody, Joe, Kim, Matt, Jill, Brandon, and Michael, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Layla, Lucas, Olivia, Hobie, Bree, and Declan.

Kathleen especially loved spending her summers at the Jersey Shore, a place that brought her great happiness and many cherished memories with her family.

Her family was her greatest joy. Kathleen will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family and the care and devotion she showed throughout her life. Her warmth, strength, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Her love and devotion will remain in the hearts of those who knew her forever. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catharine of Siena Church, 50 E Street, Seaside Park, New Jersey 08752.

As the church does not permit flowers during the season of Lent, memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
