JUNE LAURA (HEYS RODES) PARROTT
June 10, 1937 – August 29, 2025
June Parrott died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on August 29, 2025. She was born in Bangor Maine on June 10, 1937, and raised in River Edge NJ by her loving parents Hazel (nee Ross) and Thomas Heys. She was a bright beautiful young woman who loved her family. She met her first husband Theodore Rodes at the bus stop waiting to go into work in NYC. They married in May of 1965, and eventually moved to Pennsylvania were he later passed away in 1999. She then moved to Brick NJ in 2000 to be near her family. That’s where she met her second husband Glen Parrott while sitting at the Wendy’s restaurant. They married in January of 2007.
June always had a smile on her face and became friends with everyone she met. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ above all, but also enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and being involved with her community. She also loved being an EMT where she volunteered at the Herbertsville First Aid Squad and worked for Alert Ambulance.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Thomas Heys, her first husband, Theodore Rodes, her second husband, Glen Parrott, her favorite brother-in-law, William Sauerbrey, and a nephew-in-law, Paul Stephenson.
She is survived by her sister Beth Sauerbrey, her nieces, June Escudero (Mark), Elizabeth Contreras (Bill) and Susan Stephenson (Paul), along with many grand nieces and nephews and several great-grand nieces and nephews who she loved with all her heart. She is also survived by her second husband Glen’s family, who she also loved very much.
A memorial service will be held at The Church in Brielle on September 27, 2025 at 11:00.
