Joseph B. Coggins - Bay Head

Joseph B. Coggins, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, after a long illness. He was born in West Orange and was raised in Kearny where he spent his childhood years prior to joining the Army. He served his country honorably during the Korean War. After his discharge, Joe joined The National Broadcasting Network in New York City as a Cub Reporter, eventually becoming a Producer and News Executive for NBC News. After retiring from NBC News, Joe moved to the Jèrsey Shore, residing in Bay Head and Point Pleasant. He was a member of the Dutch Treat Club and Players Club in New York City for over 30 years. He is survived by his sister, Colleen Cassese of Lavallette. No services are planned at this time.
