Joseph Patrick (Joe) Curiazza Sr. passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on April 26, 2016. He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey in 1933.
Joe served in the U S Army during the Korean War. He was a trumpeter with the U S Army Band. During that time he also helped in supporting orphan victims of the war.
After his completed tour of duty Joe returned to Bayonne where he became a Master Plumber, owning and operating Curiazza Plumbing. After turning over his business to his sons he became a plumbing inspector for the State of New Jersey. He later went on to become the Construction Official for Brick Township.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, Patrick Curiazza and Francesca Puccio Curiazza and his son Dean Curiazza.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of Brick New Jersey, his former wife and mother of his children Joan Campbell, his daughter Donna Marsh and her husband Frank of Wall, NJ, his son Joseph Jr and his wife Heidi of Breckenridge Co., his daughter Linda Husserl and her husband Toby of Belmar, NJ, his son David of Bayonne, NJ, his son James (Jimmy) and his wife Tracy of Gibsonville, NC, step daughter Jeri Gottlieb and her husband Jason of Glen Ridge, NJ. 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and two step grandchildren.
Cremation will be private. A memorial service held by his wife Peggy at a later date to be announced.
