Joseph C. carver passed away quietly in his sleep on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. He was born in Spring Lake and remained a Spring Lake resident until 1994 when he moved to Leisure Village East in Lakewood until his passing.
Joe, as he liked to be called, served in the US Navy during WWII and was stationed in Lakehurst Naval Air Station. Soon after he became employed by Jersey Coast freight Lines/ Bilkay's Express where he served as Vice President of traffic during his career. Joe left Jersey Coast in 1985 to retire with his wife Margaret.
He was an avid gardener and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, hiking, and other activities. He was a devoted family man and leaves behind his beloved wife Margaret, two daughters Lynne Thiemann and Theresa Moore, their husbands Richard Thiemann and Cliff Moore, 2 grandchildren Theresa Berenger and William Moore, and 2 great grandchildren Robert Berenger and Logan Moore.
A memorial gathering is being planned by his family for Sunday February 28, 2016 between 1-4 PM at Preferred Care at Wall - Geraldine L. Thompson facility located at 2350 Hospital Rd., Allenwood, NJ.
