John A. Samuels

John A. Samuels, 62, of Toms River, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by his family at Ocean Medical Center.

Born on March 31, 1963, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, John later lived in Minnesota before settling in New Jersey, spending most of his life in Manasquan and Howell. He most recently worked as a technical trainer specializing in electronic repair at Lincoln Tech.

John was passionate about hockey, fishing, and the outdoors. He cherished time with family and friends and was especially happiest on fishing trips with his close-knit fishing crew. He will be remembered for his athleticism, kindness, generosity, sharp sense of humor, and his unwavering tendency to put others first.

John is survived by his parents, Harry and Mercedes Samuels; his brother, Jeffrey Samuels, and Jeffrey’s wife, Dianne; his former wife, Eileen Samuels; and her children, Ryan and Shannon Dullea, whom he loved and helped raise as his own. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Guy Samuels and Michael Samuels.

A Funeral Mass will be held on November 17, 2025, at 10 AM, at St. Denis Church in Manasquan.
