John Phillip Miranda, 58, of Lakewood died August 10, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Jamaica,Queens, N.Y., he was a resident of Lakewood for several years. He worked for many years as a carpenter and most recently he was employed by Tilton Body Works of Lakewood.
As a sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.
Son of the late Ramon Miranda, he's survived by his mother, Lydia Miranda; his son, John Miranda and wife Jennifer, and daughter Julie Miranda; his grandchild, Jackson Miranda; his siblings, Ramona Curry and husband Philip and Jose Miranda and wife Heidi. He's also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1:30PM at the Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ 08610. (www.kingstonandkemp.com).
