John Nicholas Magno, 60, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2026.
Born in Montclair, New Jersey, John earned his Ph.D. in Physics and was a man of remarkable intelligence, big ideas, and an inventive spirit. A physicist, inventor, and entrepreneur, he had a passion for understanding how things worked and imagining how they could work differently. He loved the challenge of creating something new and was never afraid to think outside the box.
John had a lifelong fascination with astronomy, airplanes, and the mysteries of the universe. His interests reflected his inquisitive nature and his appreciation for the endless possibilities of the unknown.
Beyond his scientific interests, John enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, boating, and deep-sea fishing. He appreciated life’s simpler pleasures, whether it was a great cheeseburger, a good science fiction or horror movie, or reminiscing about the past and sharing stories of the good old days.
John loved his two sons, Michael and Nathaniel, very much. As they grow and discover their own passions and paths in life, perhaps they will carry forward some of the creativity and innovative spirit that made their father who he was.
John is survived by his sons, Michael and Nathaniel Magno; his brother, Christopher Magno; his sister-in-law, Charlene Magno; his nephew, Christopher Magno; and his former wife, Laura Magno, with whom he shared the lasting bond of their two sons.
John leaves behind memories, stories, and dreams that reflect his one-of-a-kind personality and unique way of looking at the world.
May his memory live on through the stories we share, the moments we cherish, and the lives he touched along the way.
