John Michael Keynton, 31, beloved son, uncle, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Ocean Medical Center on December 26, 2024 after a two and a half year battle with esophageal cancer.
Born to parents John and Kathleen Keynton of Wall NJ on May 24, 1993, he grew up to be an avid sports person, which included him being manager of the Wall High School boys soccer team and manager of the Wall High School girls softball team. He graduated from Wall High School in 2012, but he continued to be manager and later coach long after graduation.
During high school and afterwards, he volunteered at Meridian Subacute Rehab Center of Wall, where he was a beloved volunteer until 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
He loved sports, was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan, and there was no wavering of support, and you could not convince him otherwise, even if they were having a bad season.
He was loved by everyone, became friends with everyone he met, and he always saw the positive in everyone.
He was predeceased in death by grandparents Esther and Percy Keynton and June and James Camooso. He is survived by parents John and Kathleen Keynton, brother Thomas Keynton and fiancée Sharyl Slade, sister Samantha Keynton, niece Julianna Keynton, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation will be done privately. A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
