John P. Brennan

October 15, 1954 — March 10, 2025

John P. Brennan, 70, of Whiting and recently of Toms River and Elizabeth passed away on March 10, 2025.


"Jack" was a life-long New Jerseyan. He worked at Con Rail, American Cyanamid, sold cars, had two corporate cleaning companies, and later he liked to scrap calling himself the Scrap Doctor. He was also a proud member of the NJ Painters Union. Jack loved all animals, esp. Pit Bulls. He was proud of his Irish heritage and his red Harley motorcycle. He also loved his church and often took comfort in his Catholic faith, serving as a Eucharistic Minister at Maximillian Kobe Church, Toms River, NJ and as a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, in Hillsdale for several years prior to his move down to south Jersey.


Jack was predeceased by his parents, John & Rita Brennan. He leaves behind his sister, Rita (Terry) Barkley, his niece Melanie (Adam) Edlefson, his nephew Steven (Jacqueline) Lockwood, and his nephew and Godson Jeffrey (Jessica) Lockwood and their families.


Jack will be cremated before being brought to Ireland to be laid to rest in the near future. Services will be held in Michigan.


In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal rescue, Humane Society, or the American Lung Society.


Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
