Joan A. Lavance

Joan LaVance of Manasquan, 87, passed away at home on November 17th around her loving family. Joan was a graduate of Manasquan High School where she met the love of her life, Paul LaVance. She and Paul were married in Corpus Christie, Texas while Paul was serving in the Navy. They returned to New Jersey in 1954 and built their house in Manasquan. Joan loved spending time at their cabin in Maine and was known for her hospitality. She was always there to offer support and assistance to others and had many friends. Joan is survived by her daughters, Susan Warner and Ellen Fink, granddaughter Aubrey Gallagher and her husband, William Gallagher and great-granddaughter Madelyn, granddaughter, Taryn Moschel, husband Christopher Moschel and grandson Travis Fink. A mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Denis Church in Manasquan.
