Joan Elaine Gartley

Joan Elaine Gartley, 88 years old, of Neptune, NJ, passed on to the Lord, Monday, January 13, 2020. She was born on July 7, 1931, in Jersey City, NJ, daughter to Lewis E. White and Grace L. Donohue. Joan was a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio, and an elementary school teacher within the Neptune Township School District for 27 years. She was able to enjoy many years of retirement, reading her newspapers, magazines, and completing her daily crossword puzzles. She found her greatest happiness in her children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Cindric, and survived by her sons, Kevin and Matthew Gartley, as well as five grandchildren. A Funeral Mass shall be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 3455 West Bangs Avenue, Neptune, NJ, on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10am.
