Jean Cangi

Jean Cangi, 90, of Brick, NJ, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born August 3, 1932 in Jersey City, she attended Dickinson High School and moved to Ridgefield, NJ at age 19. She spent most of her life in Ridgefield and Melbourne, FL, before settling in Brick in 2004.

In her earlier years, Jean worked for Bell Telephone Company, and retired from Melchoir Armstrong in Ridgefield. An honorary member of the Jersey Coast Shark Anglers, she was an avid reader, and found joy in playing the lottery, going to Atlantic City, and spending time with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years in 2004, David L. Cangi. She is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands, Debra Cangi and Peter Soriero of Point Pleasant; Leigh and Edward Staunton of Point Pleasant; Dee and Bill Fullam of Brick; grandchildren, Kimberly Guenther Bogosian and husband James of Rutherford, Sally Ann Fullam of Brick; three adoring great-grandchildren, David, Joseph and Julia Bogosian; and brother Steven Eagles of Ft. Myers, FL.

Jean will be greatly missed by many dear family members and friends. Cremation was private. There will be a celebration of life announced on Jean’s behalf.
