Jane D. Nelson - Marlboro

Jane D. Nelson (nee Siddons), of Marlboro, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at her home. She was born in Bayonne 85 years ago and was the daughter of Lawrence and Jane E. Smith Siddons. Her husband, Arthur Arnold Nelson predeceased her in 1986. Jane had been an executive secretary at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she met her husband, Arnold and retired to Marlboro in 1969. She had been past president of the Garden Club R.F.D. at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Middletown. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and competed in bridge tournaments. She is survived by her cousins, Walter Sproul and Jean, Long Valley, Meredith Sproul Friedman and Stephen, Chapel Hill, NC, Suzanne Barth, West Deptford, Richard Barth and Mary, Pamplin, VA, Marjorie McDermott Gump, Pinehurst, NC, and godson, Paul Stephan and Kristi and Erica Stephan Cramer and Doug, San Francisco, CA, and other family members and friends. Jane was a loving and generous person, who will be greatly missed, but her loving memory will always be with us. Burial will be private.
