James Charles Reddy

James C. Reddy, 47 passed away peacefully at his home on March 25, 2015, surrounded by his wife and loving family after losing his battle with brain cancer. He was born June 4, 1967 and has lived in Point Pleasant since childhood. Jimmy graduated Pt. Pleasant Boro High School and worked at a number of local establishments including Frankie's Bar and Grill. For the last 13 years he worked as a Conductor for NJ Transit. Jimmy enjoyed gardening, comic books, cooking, music and traveling with his wife. He was always willing to help neighbors & friends. His laughter, infectious smile and jokes will be missed by all who knew him. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jennifer L Newman; mother in law Larene Newman; sister and her husband Marybeth Reddy and Erik Valeur. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews and their children. The family wishes to thank the staff of Meridian Hospice, and Jimmy's second family at NJ Transit for their support through this difficult time. Services are private. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jimmy's name to Monmouth & Ocean County Brain Tumor Support Group, Inc.
