Irene F. Browning

Irene F. Browning, 77 years old of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024.

Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Francis and Irene Smith on May 27, 1947, she was a graduate of Fair Lawn High School. Irene attended William Paterson University and New Jersey City University where she received a BA and an MS in Education. She was employed by the Passaic Board of Education where she was an eighth grade science teacher at Lincoln Middle School Number 4 for 16 years.

Her hobbies included cooking, travel, photography and gardening. She loved feeding the wildlife at her home and had a sharp wit and sense of humor.

Irene is survived by her loving daughter Lauren Gleeson and her Son-in-Law David.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
