Irai Maria De Oliveira

Irai Maria De Oliveira (84) of Allentown, NJ was called home to be with God on March 13, 2024. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.

Irai was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil on January 15, 1940, where she spent her time growing up with her two sisters in the loving home of her parents. She would later go on to marry her husband, Wilson on February 22, 1958 and expand their family with three beautiful children. Her and Wilson came to America to provide their children with endless opportunities in 1968. Irai spent her time working as a seamstress and caring for her six grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, following her faith on Sundays in church, gardening and sharing stories and pictures with her family of the life she’s lived. She welcomed the last few years of her life, spending time with her four great grandchildren. Celebrating life events and admiring the life she created from scratch. Irai Maria was a remarkable woman, whose love knew no limits. She was always willing to help in anyway she could for all walks of life. To know her, was to know you would walk this journey with a lifelong friend. She was love encapsulated and we will use her light as a guide, to navigate through the rest of our lives without her physically here.

She is predecesed by her father Jardelino Gomes dos Santos and mother Joana Gomes dos Santos, as well her her sister Eronita ‘GiGi’ Gomes dos santos .

She is survived by her husband Wilson Andrade De Oliveira, her three children Luis De Oliveira (Rosimar), Liane Defalco (Michael) & Andrea Oliveira (Jerry). She leaves behind her grandchildren Danielle McCloskey (James), Larissa Pantano (Jeffrey), Kyle Morse, Brenden Kelly, Lucas Oliveira, Jack Oliveira and great grandchildren Giovanni Pantano, Isla McCloskey, Brooke Pantano and Julian McCloskey. She is survived by her sister Sirlei dos Santos Balparda, her nieces Diana Balparda, Vanessa Balparda and Isabel Cristina Gomes dos Santos and her nephew Alexandre dos Santos Vieira. Along with many other family and friends, whose lives were touched by her beautiful soul.

A Mass will be held in Irai’s honor, at St. Dominic’s Chruch (250 Old Squan Road, Brick NJ 08723) on Thursday March 21, 2024 at 10:00am. We ask that those joining please wear colorful clothing, polka dots or floral patterns to celebrate her life.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
