Grace Barker

Grace Barker (77) of Manalapan, NJ passed peacefully surrounded by family on April 8, 2025.

She was born in Port Jervis, NY in 1947 to parents Anthony and Grace Farrell. Grace graduated top 10 in her High school class, studied at Rutgers University, and completed Real Estate school. She excelled in her 20 year real estate career, and held positions as Office Manager, Mentor, and Broker.

Grace had a love of helping others and made friends no matter where she went. She was often extending kindness to strangers and her thoughtfulness brought light into may lives throughout the years. She was even gracious going through her medical challenges! Often her caregivers felt her loving nature and couldn't believe how polite and kind she was enduring it all. We are grateful for those caregivers and medical personnel that showed her so much love in return, especially in her final days.

Grace had a strong faith in the Lord. She was a Sunday School superintendent. And she used her beautiful singing voice in the church choir on Sundays as well as at various Christian club meetings, holiday parties and family and friends weddings.

Grace had a love for photos. She loved to share them with her family and friends. When we shared a photo with her, she'd be quick to print it up, display it and send us a printed copy of our own! We will treasure them!

Grace is survived by her husband Richard, married 57 years, her daughters Jennifer (husband Jeff Fodor), Jessica (David Gross), and two beautiful granddaughters Alexandra and Lindsay. Her family was her endless source of pride and joy.

We will miss her giving nature, demonstrated through thoughtful bag of trinkets and handwritten notes, her laugh and her hugs.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
