Geneva Tina Kelly

Ms. Geneva "Tina" Kelly entered this life on February 7, 1964 to Jennie Covington and Alexander Covington in Neptune, NJ. Tina, as she was affectionately known, was a beautiful queen inside and out. Making plenty of friendships and life long bonds along the way. She lived in Irvington, NJ in a beautiful home perfectly decorated to her style. She would take many there for a peaceful weekend. With hard work and dedication she received her CDLs and worked for the City of Newark as a street sweeper. She had a heart of gold and would do just about anything for just about anybody. Tina loved music, singing, and dancing. She started an African Dance Program for free in the City of Asbury Park. She truly was a blessing to many. Tina departed this life on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center after having a stroke. She fought a good fight. She was predeceased by her sons, Jakeema Kelly and Donte Kelly, her Mother Jennie Covington, Father Alexander Covington, and her sister, Mary Helen Covington. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved son Asiatic (Marie) Meagher N.C. Her grandchildren Ashton, Autumn, Marasia, and Christian. Her sisters, Velma, Della, Sharon, Robin and her brothers, Izel and Melvin, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. With a special nephew Jacoby Covington and the babies whom she loved dearly and watched grow. A Special thanks to her sister, Sharon Kelly, Leesie Moore, Christine Scott, Bishop Rubin, Pastor Hall, and Jersey Shore Cremation Service, and all those who sent your loving thoughts and prayers.
