Fred Raymond Miani 90 • Tinton FallsFred R. Miani passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015, peacefully at his home in Seabrook Village. Fred was born in the Bronx, New York, and later settled in Paramus, New Jersey, where he resided for 55 years, moving to Point Pleasant for 3 years before residing at Seabrook Village. He worked for New York Bell Telephone Company for 37 plus years, retiring in 1985. He was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and CHORE of Bergen County for several years. He was a parishioner of Annunciation R.C. Church, Paramus, New Jersey. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Fred was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Patricia, just one month ago. He is survived by his three sons, Stephen and his wife, Jen, James and his wife, Diane, and Thomas and his wife, Lynn; four daughters, Carol and her husband, Lawrence Praschil, Nancy and her husband, Robert Kilmurray, Theresa and her husband, Robert Camano, and Catherine and her husband, John Gavaghan; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Keefe Miani; his brother, Richard Miani; his sister, Bianca Reynolds, 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, August 17th, at 11 a.m. at St. Martha's R. C. Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred's memory to VNA of Central Jersey Hospice, Foundation Department, 176 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
