Frank G. Del Pizzo

Francis "Frank" Gerald Del Pizzo, Sr. 84, of Neptune who's extended family is from Spring Lake Heights, passed away Sunday at JSMC surrounded by the love of his family. Frank was born on 4/21/1932 to Catherine and Joseph Del Pizzo of Asbury Park. Frank, along with his brother-in-laws, Nicholas & Fabio, and his wife, Carmella (Carole), owned and operated Fabio Battaglia Construction Company. Frank was a hard working man. He also held other jobs during his younger years such as helping in the Mainolfi family bakery in Rutland, Vermont, and selling Florsheim shoes door to door. Frank married Carmella Battaglia on 7/13/1952; they lived a happy, wonderful life together for 64 years. Frank and Carole were always together, supporting each other through it all. Carole never left his side. Along with his wife, Frank took a house and made it a warm, loving home on Fabio Court for all. Frank was a very special man whose qualities show in every life he touched. Frank was predeceased by his parents, brother, Anthony, family Julia & Fabio Battaglia Sr, Nicholas Battaglia Sr, Beverly Battaglia, Maria Battaglia, Nicholas Battaglia Jr, and Gregory Battaglia. Frank is survived by his wife Carmella, children Julia & Vincent Iachetta Sr, Theresa Sigrist, Fred Sigrist Sr, Carole Anne & Arlo Peterson, Catherine & Peter Reichel, Frank & Maryellen Del Pizzo, grandchildren Fred Jr. & Nickole Sigrist, Frank & Amanda Iachetta, Vincent Iachetta Jr, Andrew & Amy Sigrist, Christine & Gregory DeTommaso, Alexander Iachetta, Nicholas Del Pizzo, Gianna Del Pizzo, great grandchildren Peyton, Vivienne, Lucca, Christopher, Camilla and anticipated great grandchildren that he was awaiting to meet. Frank is also survived by his brother Joseph & Rose Del Pizzo, sister-in-law Barbara Del Pizzo, brother- in-law Fabio Battaglia Jr and many nieces, nephews and friends who considered Frank their “father/Dad”. A mass in Frank’s honor will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Asbury Park, NJ on Saturday, 10/15/16 at 10 am. There will be a celebration of Frank’s life held at the Spring Lake Heights Community Center, Ocean Road, Spring Lake Heights, NJ 12 noon to 6 pm on Saturday 10/15/16.
