Ellen Joyce Maring Voci reached the end of her wonderful life on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. She was 82 years old. Loved by all, Joyce received family and friends to the last moment of her life.
Joyce was born In Brooklyn and grew up in the Fort Hamilton section. The daughter of Ellen C. Eagan and Thomas Maring, she was the eldest of eight siblings. Joyce attended Bay Ridge High School and married Andrew Voci shortly after graduating. They had two children, Lisa J. Voci and Dominic Voci. After their divorce, Joyce and her children lived in Teaneck where she met her partner in life, William T. Moir. Eventually moving to Ridgewood, NJ.
Joyce had an artistic eye for, and love of wearing, beautiful jewelry. She started her own Jewelry business called “The Silver Lady” and ran it successfully for many years. A fashionable woman blessed with gifts of wit, wisdom and kindness, Joyce loved gatherings with family and friends, trips to Atlantic city and automobile races alongside Bill Moir near their retirement home in Manchester, NJ Joyce was an avid reader and enjoyed historic novels the most.
Joyce had grandchildren she adored and who loved her right back - Keegan Thomas Steinke of Florida and sisters Swettie and Mali Anna Voci of Indonesia.
Joyce was predeceased by her lifelong partner, Bill Moir; her ex-husband Andrew Voci; her parents; sisters, Marguerite Gail Maring and Valerie J. Maring; brother, Robert J. Maring and Aunt Marguerite Maring.
She is survived by her two children Lisa Voci and her husband William A. Vest, Jr., and Dominic Voci and his wife, Ina Mayasari Voci; brothers; Thomas J. Maring, Russell G. Maring , and Leigh C. Maring; and a sister Andrea C. Maring; three beloved grandchildren Keegan, and Swettie and Mali Anna. She leaves behind her Sister-in-law Joan Moir, and many nieces, nephews, and her cousin Barbara ten Broeke, as well as life-long friends Joyce Leshinik Wurster, Sara Jane Scandiffio and Linda and Phil Gregoli.
She will live forever in our hearts and through our beautiful memories.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2022.
