Eleanor Badamo, of Lincroft New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 10,2019 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 21,1942 to the late Concetta and Loius Polizzi, named after Eleanor Roosevelt and the youngest of 5 children. Being the youngest she was lovingly spoiled by her siblings, the late Mary DeMarco, the late Salvatore Polizzi and Joseph Polizzi. She is blessed to be finally meeting her oldest sister, Michelina Polizzi,who passed before Eleanor was born. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband, Giuseppe(Pino) Badamo of 54 years, her daughter Maria DeSocio and husband David of Lincroft , her daughter Concetta Parascand and husband Paul of Toms River , her two grandsons Domenic DeSocio and Michael DeSocio, her brother Joseph Polizzi of Florida and many loving nieces and nephews.
In 1969 Eleanor and Giuseppe moved to Staten Island New York where they raised their girls. They later moved to Toms River New Jersey in 1999 to enjoy living by the shore, especially fishing and crabing. In 2017 Eleanor and her husband moved to Lincroft New Jersey.
Eleanor was a stay at home Mom taking care of her two daughters. Later in life she worked several jobs to keep herself busy which included Stop and Shop, where she retired from in 2012.
Eleanor opened her heart to rescuing animals, caring for over 20 pets during her lifetime. We pray that they all met her at the gates of heaven when she arrived. She also loved sketching, needle point, video games and coloring. She had a smile that would light up a room and was everyone's friend and biggest fan.
A funeral Mass will be held in her memory on Saturday June15th at 9:30am at St. Leo the Great Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft New Jersy. A Celebration of Life will follow at her daughter Maria's home, 36 Bluefield Road Lincrfot.
