Eileen Fontanella

Eileen Fontanella (O’Toole) 70 of Oakhurst, passed away on July 29, 2026, surrounded by family.

Eileen was born on August 30, 1955, in Newark, NJ to Gerald & Rita O’Toole.

She enjoyed a career as an administrative assistant at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in the nursing education department, which was unfortunately shortened due to health issues.

Eileen enjoyed spending time with her siblings and her numerous friends. She was known for her kindness and helping others as best she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald & Rita (Erne) O’Toole, husband Robert Fontanella, and brothers James & Dennis O’Toole. She is survived by her siblings Patrick O’Toole of S.C., Richard O’Toole of Wall, Marianne Golightly of Lakewood, Claire and husband Frank Anello of Wall, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and close friends, all of whom she was forever grateful.

In respecting her wishes, Eileen’s services will be private. She will be deeply missed by those she was closest to. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of her family & friends.
