Effie S. Marx - Tinton Falls

Effie Solomon Marx, mother of two, grandmother of five and great-grandmother of seven, peacefully passed late Friday night. Effie was a graduate of Long Branch high school, a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, and the person her late lifetime sweetheart and public service pillar Monroe "Butch" Marx called "the wind beneath my wings." The two are hopefully soaring together again today and forever. Grandma also made the best applesauce and matzoh ball soup in the world.Effie is survived by her son Frank Marx; daughter Beryl Kirkpatrick; son-in-law Bob Kirkpatrick; grandchildren Scott, Matthew, Justin, Keith & Garrett; great-grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Tyler, Emma, Jacob, Brayden & Jaxson; and siblings Bert Weisman and Marion Berman.Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Effie's name to the Shrewsbury First Aid Squad.
