Edward O'Shaughnessy

Edward OShaughnessy, 56, passed away suddenly at his home in Whiting, New Jersey on July 10, 2019. Edward was an amazing, loving and devoted father to his surviving daughter Emma Maire OShaughnessy . He is also survived by Emmas mother, Lorraine. Born and raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, Ed was the youngest child of Ed and Grace (McCabe) He is survived by his brother James, his sister Noreen, his nieces Kelly McCabe (Frank) and Erin OShaughnessy and his nephew Sean OShaughnessy, as well as his Aunt Delia Carlson and cousins John Carlson, Alicia Tew and Andrew Carlson. Ed was also a loved member of the Breen Atherholt family. Edwards life had many blessings, including the gift of true friendships. He made friends and kept them from his early childhood, the pubs he worked, school, work, his bands and his favorite pool. Edward was an educated man. He traveled the world, had many interests and hobbies but none more then playing his pipes and the camaraderie of the many bands and groups he belonged to including: Clann Eireann Pipe Band The Pipes and Drums of the Atlantic Watch Trenton AOH Pipe Band Torphy Pipes and Drums Middlesex County Police & Fire Pipes and Drums The American Celts of Keyport NJ A Mass and Irish wake in memory of Edward will be held at The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, 15 Oak Street, Old Bridge , N.J. 08857 on July 22 2019 from 12 noon till 4:00 p.m.
