Edward C. Baum, 88, of Brick NJ, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Edward was born at home in the Cedar Bridge section of Laurelton. He attended the Osbornville Elementary School from 1933 to 1941 and Point Pleasant Beach High School from 1941 to 1945. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1950.
Edward was predeceased by his parents, Walter S. and Julia M. Baum, his brother Walter R. Baum and his wife Anjanette, his brother Irving Baum and his wife Margaret, and his sister Eleanor Hulse and her husband Raymond.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha (Rohn); his son John and his wife Catherine of Barkhamsted, CT; his daughters, Julia Baum-Coldwater and her husband Larry of Elwood IL, and Suzy Kowalewski of Golden, CO; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Edward enjoyed telling jokes and walking at Cattus Island with his good buddy Robert (Zeller) Rohrer.
