Edith Warner Galloway of Manasquan, NJ passed Ad Astra (5-27-1926 to 11-29-2022). Edith is survived by her husband of 72-years Andrew J Galloway and her children Drew and MaryFran Galloway of Jackson NJ, Richard and Jodi Galloway of Long Valley NJ and Heather and John Gorman of Morristown NJ as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Edith was pre-deceased by her younger siblings Elinor Homan, Pluckemin NJ and Mildred Munroe, Brielle, NJ. A passionate educator Edith spent a three-decade career as a kindergarten and first grade teacher within the Montville Township NJ public school system, A proud union member and co-advocate with NJEA for progressively enriching the education experience. Post retirement Edith was a volunteer at the Morris Museum before permanently moving to Manasquan.
Edith strongly believed in continuous learning and received her undergraduate degree from Douglas College (Class of 1948) her master’s degree from Kean College and advanced studies through William Paterson, and Caldwell College for Women. A lifelong Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Giants football fan she was known for her gourmet tailgates which always included an ample supply of Jack Daniels.
