Donna Marie Walsh

Donna Marie Walsh (nee Reichert) passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center after a long illness. She was 60 years old. Donna resided in Bayonne, NJ for many years before moving to Brick, NJ 8 years ago. Donna was one of a kind and there will never be another like her.

Donna was born on October 17, 1964 in Jersey City, NJ to William Joseph Reichert and the late Elaine Joyce Reichert (nee O’Neil). Donna was a 1982 graduate of Holy Family Academy and went on to graduate from Berkley Business School in NY. Donna worked as a Bank Administrator for Pamrapo Savings Bank/Bayonne Community Bank for 20 years and as a Bank Auditor for P&G Associates for 4 years.

Donna was an avid country music fan, loved to scrapbook and was a profound interior designer. She found relaxation in lounging on the deck or couch playing Candy Crush and watching a good Hallmark movie. Donna was an avid dog lover but above all else she loved her family.

Donna was both her sons’ number one fan in everything they did especially during baseball season. She was heavily involved in the Bayonne Cal Ripken Baseball league. Donna played a major role in the Fundraiser Committee to help fund the new facility. Upon opening of the new concession stand she was appointed Concession Coordinator where she thrived.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 38 years, Patrick T. Walsh; her cherished sons, Patrick (Sharon) Walsh, Jr. and Brandon Walsh. Loving Gigi to Matthew, Liam, Lexie, and Zachary. Loving sister to Joseph (Veronica) Reichert and predeceased by her sister, Denise M. Reichert. Donna is also survived by sister-in-law, Judy (John) Lewandowski; brother-in-law, Jack (Georgianna) Walsh; sister-in-law, Kathleen (Patrick) McCabe; sister-in-law, Wendy Walsh; sister-in-law, Roseann Walsh; lifelong friend to Jeanine Gross; loving dog mom to Milo and Bailey; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Donna is predeceased by her in-laws, John and Dolores Walsh; brother-in-law, Michael Walsh; brother-in-law, Timothy Walsh; and brother-in-law, Thomas Walsh.

Private cremation services were held. Those wishing to honor her memory may make a donation in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and Jersey Shore University Hospital in Neptune, NJ for their compassionate care.

Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew her and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
