Don Loughran, Jr.

Don Loughran, Jr of Wall Twp. and Long Branch NJ passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Don was raised in Wall Twp., he graduated from Wall High School in 1983. He studied at Keene State College in New Hampshire, and graduated in 1987. Don was first employed part time employee at the Point Pleasant Acme at 16 years old, and during summers while at college. After graduating from college, he became a full time employee of various Acme stores as a Produce Manager. Don love working with food and became an excellent cook and his friends and family immensely enjoyed this talent of his.

Don continued his studies in nutrition and became a certified health coach. As such, he led workshops on nutrition and chronic disease self management.

Don became an amateur painter in high school. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and duck hunting. He was a skilled decoy carver and painter as well. His decoys are still appreciated.

Unfortunately, in 2005, he was diagnosed with non-relapsing Muscular Slerosis. He continued working until the disease prevented further employment. He passed from complications caused by MS. He is survived by his father Don, Sr who lives in Wall Twp., his sister Colleen of Spring Lake Hts., and his brother Tom who lived in New Orleans, LA with his wife Hope, and daughter Colette.

A celebration of his life is planned in the near future.
