Deane "Bunny" Patten Babich, a life-long resident of New Jersey, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Monmouth Medical Center after a long, courageous battle with both Lymes disease and cancer.
Born on September 30, 1949 in Hillside, NJ., Bunny was a graduate of Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School in Clark, NJ.
She always enjoyed learning new technologies and was also interested in the travel industry. She combined these two areas in her work as a travel agent for a number of years for Eastern Airlines and various travel agencies.
Bunny loved animals and always had at least one cat, and often more, as pets. She was a good listener as well as story teller and always had a kind word for everyone. Slow to judge and quick to forgive, Bunny was a loyal friend to many and an active participant in the assisted living facility where she resided for many years.
Bunny is survived by her brother, Jack Patten, and numerous relatives, including an aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held in Bunnys honor, lead by the Rev. Ophelia Laughlin, at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Georges-By-the-River Episcopal Church in Rumson, NJ.
