Concepcion "Connie" Cidro

Concepcion "Connie" Cidro, 97, of Tinton Falls, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Eatontown, NJ.

Connie was born on December 7, 1928, in Borongan, Eastern Samar, to Constancia Alido and Luis P. Cidro. She was predeceased by her three sisters.

At a young age, Connie relocated alone to Manila under the guidance of her schoolteacher. She attended the University of the Philippines while working as a librarian. She was unable to complete her degree because of financial responsibilities and her desire to support her sisters who remained in her hometown.

Connie later worked as a secretary for several companies in Manila before pursuing her own entrepreneurial path. She operated her own business for most of her life, demonstrating the independence, determination, and resourcefulness that characterized her.

Connie showed her four children unwavering love, sacrifice, and guidance. She was known for her honesty, kindness, generosity, and empathy. But make no mistake-she was also feisty, especially when she knew she was in the right!

Connie was a loving mother to her children: Beulah Ocampo Galauran (Abelardo G.), Cris Ocampo Miller(Tom M.), Louie Ocampo (Violy O.), and Dianne Ocampo.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ritche O.Galauran (Maan G.), Megan O. Galauran, Paolo O. Galauran, Laura Miller, Andrea Ocampo, Patricia Ocampo (Cris N.), Apa Ocampo, Alvin Ocampo, and Google Ocampo the dog; and her great-grandchildren: Gabby Galauran, Celsy Galauran, Bettina Navarro, and Trixie Navarro.

A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Innocents Church in Neptune, NJ.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Jersey Shore Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and Jersey Shore Hospice Care for their compassionate care, as well as to Jersey Shore Cremation Service. 

Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
