Clarence G. Loughner passed away peacefully in his home on September 16, 2021 at the age of 95. He was born in Gans Pennsylvania on December 9, 1925. He was the son of the late Clarence and Nelle Loughner.
Clarence was married to his loving wife Priscilla for 55 years. They lived in the Neptune area for the most of their lives. Together they loved their fly fishing trips
to Rosco NY with their grandsons and skiing trips with family.
He was a Corporal in the Army Air Corps from 1943-1946 during WWII. He was an ariel gunner in a B-24 Bomber for which he was always very proud.
He was known as Bud by Family members, Gerry by his co-workers and Pop-Pop by the grandkids.
He worked for the Pepsi-Cola bottling Company of Asbury Park in Ocean Twp for 31 years and was a sales manager for Ocean and Monmouth Counties. He was
always well respected by his co-workers as being a stern but a fair man.
Clarence is survived by his daughters Sydney Lineberry of Neptune and Deborah Dennison and husband Robert of Wall Twp and three grandchildren Chris Atkins and his wife Sandi of Estero, FL, Scott Atkins of Pt Pleasant, and Lacey Deboer and husband Chris of Howell.
There are five great grandchildren, Connor, Alyssa and Brandon Atkins and Van and Isla Deboer. Clarence will always be remembered as a quite man with high moral character and integrity. He loved his family and also had a passion for Golf, fly fishing and woodworking which he passed on to his grandsons. He also had a love of gardening and he always grew the best Jersey tomatoes.
Funeral services will be held at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
