Cheryl Dolese

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our Mother, Cheryl Dolese, on September 20, 2024, at the age of 72. Throughout her life she faced many challenges with grit and resilience, but the last few years were marked by frequent hospital stays. While her passing brings immense sorrow, there is comfort in knowing her struggle has ended. Her strength through it all will always be remembered.

Cheryl embodied the roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend; she touched the lives of many, and her memory will live on in their hearts - we love you.

As a mother, she dedicated her energy and resources to her children and grandchildren. She began as a stay-at-home mom, raising two children on her own. Determined to improve their lives, she put herself through technical school and worked her way toward a better socio-economic position. The resources she gained were used to support her family as well as several charities.

Cheryl will be remembered for her compassion, perseverance, generosity, and inclusivity. When asked what she wanted people to know about her, she said, "We are all worthy of respect and equal in the eyes of God."

A service in memory of Cheryl Dolese will be held at The Presbyterian Church of Livingston, 271 W. Northfield Road, Livingston, NJ on November 9, 2024, at 2pm followed by a Repast at the family’s home, 26 Wardell Road, Livingston, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests assistance in funding her services, (Venmo payments can be made to @Melissa-Dolese), any remaining funds will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her honor.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Serivce, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
