Charles “Butch” Wilson, 66, of Howell Township, NJ passed away peacefully at Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey in Lakewood on Thursday, February 10, 2022 after a long illness. He was born in Jersey City and lived in Bayonne until 2000 when he and his family moved to Howell Township. Butch was recently retired from the Fulton Fish Market, Bronx, NY where he worked for many years.
Butch loved fishing, boating, food, wine, vacationing and especially spending time together with his family. He was a thoughtful husband and a proud and attentive father who will be greatly missed.
Butch leaves his wife of 35 years, Colleen (Hogan) Wilson and three sons, Dan Wilson of Key West, FL, Sean Wilson of Howell, NJ and Peter Wilson of Cixi, China. He also leaves a sister, Elizabeth Portugal and brother-in-law, Lineu Portugal, as well as sisters-in-law, Dianne Hogan, Patrice Kowalski, and Rose Ann Hogan, and brothers-in-law Stephen Kowalski and William Hogan. He was a cherished Uncle to Matthew Kowalski, Maggie, Tom and Sam Rizzacasa, Julie and John Hogan, and Lineu and Dylan Portugal.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
