Catherine Leigh Ann Dixon, 51, of South Plainfield and who currently resided in Colts Neck,has gone to her final resting place on January 18, 2014. She lived her life to the fullest and with great fervor.
Cathy attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Edison in 1981. In high school she excelled not only academically, but received numerous awards for her incredible athletic abilities in basketball and softball. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in both Communications and Journalism from Seton Hall University in 1985, where she graduated with honors.
With great pride and tenacity, she accomplished her life long dream and published a novel, "Lost in the Flood". This is the first of an anticipated trilogy, which remain in the works today. She faced every challenge that one could face in the publishing process, but never gave up on her dream until it was realized.
She is predeceased by her father, Alfred C. Dixon.
Surviving is her mother Anna Dixon, her brother Michael Dixon and her sister in law Linda; her sister Roseanna Webber and her brother in law Steven. her nieces Sarah and Erika Dixon and Stephanie Webber and her nephews, AJ Dixon, Vincent Hall and Nicholas Webber.
Please join her family and endless amount of loving friends, at a "Celebration of Life", to be held at Presidents Beach, (North end/Avenel Blvd. entrance) in Long Branch, New Jersey, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
