Carolyn Reim Smith

Avon by the Sea- Carolyn Reim Smith, age 83, of New Milford and Avon by the Sea, NJ, entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2023.

Carolyn was a lifetime New Milford resident. She graduated from Douglas College, and received her Master's Degree from Rutgers University. Lynn chose to work as a Guidance Counselor to serve the students of New Milford High School. As a beloved staff member, she made a difference in the lives of many students as they choose a path to their careers, and was still communicating with former students today. Lynn was always willing to help others and, for her many contributions, was honored by the New Milford Education Foundation as Outstanding Educator March 2020.

Upon retirement, she resided in Avon by the Sea and Bonita Springs, Florida. She loved her dogs and playing golf. Through her investment in a partnership, she participated in the raising, training and eventual racing of thoroughbred horses.

Carolyn (Lynn) is survived by her brother Donald Smith Radcliffe, his wife, Kathleen, 2 children Gregory and Gerard and 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Veronica Ann. She is predeceased by Elizabeth Glosser, her lifelong friend and sister at heart.
