Carol T. Roes

Carol T. Roes 85 of Howell, N.J. Passed away October 26, 2024.

Carol was predeceased by her parents George and Gertrude Watson. She is survived by her three children, Karen Hinds, son-in-law Tom, Susan Roes, and Catherine Roes, son-in-law Phil. Her six grandchildren Samantha, Amanda, Christopher, Philip, Nicholas, and Logan.

Carol was born in Newark, N.J. and resided in East Orange until she was three. She then moved to Avon-by-the-Sea and Spring Lake, N.J. where her love of the Jersey Shore began and her heart will always be.

True to her Monmouth County roots she attended Monmouth University and graduated with a B.A. in Science Education in 1970. She continued to work in the English department thereafter, until she married John Roes and moved to Old Bridge, N.J. and raised her three daughters.

Carol loved to travel, shop, watch classic movies and game shows. She enjoyed spending countless days on Avon-by-the-sea beach whether it was on the sand, boardwalk, or just driving around town reminiscing. Carol will be dearly missed but her love of the beach will always be a reminder to many that knew and loved her.

“If I’m not home, I’m at the beach.”
