Carl L. Swope

Carl L. Swope, 59, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 14th, 2023. He resided in Manahawkin, NJ with his mother, Anna M. Dush.

Carl was originally from DuBois, PA and moved to New Jersey to be near his niece, Jessica (Shawn) Nellis and her children Alexis (10), Brody (8) and Carson (5).

Carl was a hair dresser and loved everything about hair. He could work magic and make the unthinkable happen with beauty. Carl was a dog lover and adopted several dogs from shelters throughout his life.

Carl loved his niece’s and nephew’s unconditionally. He always tried to make it to their sporting events, school events, and spent all of his extra time playing with the kids. The kids will miss playing board games, and Carson especially will miss playing spot the differences with “Uncle”.

To honor Carl’s memory, we will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
