Beverly M. Wosnitzer, 83, of Point Pleasant, Toms River, and Howell, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born on August 23, 1942, in Belleville, New Jersey, to Edward and Lillian Short. After graduating from St. Rose High School, she began her career in retail, working at the Judy-Ann Shoppe, MI-Lady Fashions, and Ms. Beverly. She later pursued a successful career in real estate.
Beyond her professional life, Beverly was passionate about helping others. For 50 years, she dedicated herself to supporting and mentoring others as a sponsor in Alcoholics Anonymous. Her compassion, generosity, and willingness to help those in need touched the lives of many. Beverly also had a lifelong love of animals. She shared her home with many beloved cats throughout the years and had a special affection for her pet bird.
Beverly was a mother to William, and to Christopher and his wife, Rebecca, and a grandmother to Kristin, Will, Ryan, Thomas, and Giovanni. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Annette Short; her nieces, Susan and her husband, John, Carolyn, and Barb; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Lillian Short, and her brother, Edward J. Short.
Beverly will be remembered for her loving heart, her compassion for others, and the many lives she touched throughout her 83 years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
